Air India received a very good response and Public Sector Units like IOC, ONGC, LIC, RBI, BHEL,MTNL, BSNL, HPCL participated in the said tournament. Air India being the host thus two teams Air India “A” & Air India “B” had participated in the said tournament.
Managers Meeting was held on 7th January 2014 at 4.00 pm at the venue of tournament.
The tournament began on 8th January 2014 at 11.00 am after a grand inauguration by Mr R Harihar, Executive Director, Western Region - Air India. Guest of Honour were Mr. Pravin Amre, Cricketer – A Former test player and Coach of Mumbai Cricket team, Mr. Oberio, ED – Ground Handling Dpt – Air India, Mr. Mukesh Bhatia, GM - CommlDpt, Mumbai Airport – Air India, Ravi Shinde , DGM - HRD –Air India for the said event.Mr. Dilip Pinge, DGM – Sports & Secy Air India Sports Promotion Board and Mr. Shekhar Guha, AGM – Air India Sports – Delhi and took control of the proceeding during the inauguration ceremony.
The events were conducted on the 8th, 9th and 10th of January 2014. Mr. V S Negi, GM, Materials Management Department - Air India was Chief Guest and Mr. Dhanraj Pillay, Padmashree & Arjuna Awardee was guest of honour.

In Individual events in Mens category, Mr. R N Shankar, ( AI ) was Winners and Mohd. Gufran, (AI ) was Runners UP were awarded Trophy, Medal And Certificate and in Women category, Ms. Kajol kumari, ( IOC ) was Winners and Rashmi Kumari, (ONGC ) was Runners UP were awarded Trophy, Medal And Certificate.
Certificates were awarded to all the participants in the said tournament.
Sh J. S. Waraich, General Secretary, AIPSSCB conveyed his best wishes to the organisers and congratulated the winners of the tournament as he could not be there personally due to clash of dates with AIPS football tournament in Kolkata.
The tournament received good publicity through electronic and print media.
