The All India PSU Cricket Tournament for 2014 was hosted by Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., (RCF) Mumbai. The same had been hosted by RCF in 1989, when they had won the event. In the intervening years, RCF also were co-hosts along with Air India.
State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) emerged as the champions of the 2014 edition, in the elite 'Cup group', beating reigning champions Air India in the finals played at the RCF Sports Complex in Chembur on November 4. Earlier, in the semifinals, SBH had beaten State Bank of Travancore while Air India got the better of Food Corporation of India.
In the 'Plate Group', RCF won the finals beating a hapless Hindustan Petroleum in the finals on the same day. Ten teams from all over India played in the 'Cup Group' and seven teams in the 'Plate Group'. Matches were played at the RCF Sports Complex, the Vengsarkar Academy, the Sports Gurukul grounds at Ajmera, the D.Y. Patil grounds at Nerul and the Trombay Village ground. The Mumbai Cricket Assn. provided umpires and technical support for the event.
The All India PSU Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Sanjay Manjrekar on October 27 and the Chief Guests for the Closing Ceremony were Dilip Vengsarkar and Ravi Sawant, VP, MCA. RCF's CMD, Mr. R.G. Rajan, who played an important role in the conduct of the tournament, was present on both occasions.
The tournament received wide publicity in national newspapers and the final was telecast on DD Sports as well as DD Sahyadri Channels. The final was also relayed live on cable TV in Chembur.

In the closely contested Cup group final, State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) dethroned defending champs Air India by a slender margin of 6 runs with Alfred Absolom being the star performer taking four wickets including a hat trick. SBH skipper T. Suman led from the front, top scoring with 46 and backed it up by taking three wickets of AI.
In the plate group final, hosts RCF with an all round display by Santosh Upadhye convincingly defeated HPCL by nine wickets. Put into bat, HPCL were bundled out for 126 with left arm spinner Upadhye taking three wickets receiving good support from Siddharth Prasad who scalped two. Ankur Singh displayed exceptional fielding skills taking six catches and effecting a run out. RCF chased down the score with ease, losing just one wicket as Taranjit Singh (64*) and Santosh Upadhye (54) set up a strong foundation with a century partnership (112)
