AIPSSCB Volleyball Tournament

The All India Public Sector Volleyball Tournament was organized by Central Coalfields Limited at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi from 8th to 10th June, 2022.

6 teams participated, which are Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Coal India Limited (CIL), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Oil India Limited (OIL), National Fertilizers Limited (NLC).

The tournament was inaugurated by Sri P.M. Prasad, CMD, CCL on 08-06-2022. Sri P.V.K.R. Mallikarjuna Rao, Director (P), CCL, Sri R.B. Prasad, Director (T/Operation), CCL and Sri S.K. Sinha, IRSS, CVO,CCL were the Guests of Honour.

Ms. Asunta Lakra, Ex. Women Hockey Captain of India was also present during the opening ceremony as Guest of Honour.

Sri P.M Prasad, CMD, CCL thanked Coal India Limited for giving the opportunity to CCL to host the AIPS Volleyball Tournament. He was hopeful that in future more PSUs will participate in Mega Sports Events of All India Public Sector. The tournament was played on league cum knockout basis

The final match was played between LIC and OIL in which LIC defeated OIL by 3 sets to 1 (25-20, 25-18, 24-26, 25-23).

Sri Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR), CIL was the Chief Guest for the final day function held on 10-06-2022. Sri P.V.K.R. Mallikarjuna Rao, Director (P), CCL, Sri R.B. Prasad, Director (T/Operation), CCL, and Sri Ramesh Suchadeva, Consultant, AIPSSCB were the Guests of Honour.

Sri Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR), CIL appreciated all the participating team for their good performance during the tournament and also appreciated CCL for conducting the All India Public Sector Volleyball Tournament successfully.
