National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna PSU of Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India, is organizing the All India Public Sector Volleyball Tournament – 2014-15. The tournament will be held from 5th to 7th March 2015 at Biju Patnaik Sports Complex, Nalco Nagar, Angul. As a member of All India Public Sector Sports Control Board, NALCO is hosting this prestigious tournament. The tournament will witness participation of teams from NALCO, Neyveli Lignite, ONGC, LIC, BHEL, SAIL, BSNL and Coal India. For the successful coordination of the event, an Organizing Committee has been constituted with the chairmanship of Shri S.K. Roy, Executive Director (S&P Complex), NALCO. The referees from Odisha Volleyball Association will conduct the matches. 

Shri Sanjib Roy, ED(S&P) inaugurated the All India Public Sector Volleyball Tournament-2015 in presence of Shri P.K.Mohanty, Secretary, Odisha Volleyball Association(OVA), Shri Pradosh Mohanty, GM(H&A), Shri S.Tarai, AGM(OL&Sports) CO, Bhubaneswar, Shri Nirmal Samal, General Secretary, NES, RU of Smelter on 05.3.2015. Volleyball teams of Oil India Corporation, BHEL, Neyvelli Lignite Corporation, ONGC, Coal India, LIC, BSNL and Nalco were participated in the tournament.

The Tournament is conducted in League cum Knockout basis. In his inaugural address Shri Roy welcomed all players and expressed his gratitude to Odisha Volleyball Association for giving an opportunity to Nalco to host this Tournament. Shri M R Dash, DM(Fin), CPP anchored the programme while Shri C.R.Choudhury, AM(Sports) proposed vote of thanks.

The All India Public Sector Volleyball Tournament for the year 2014-15 was successfully organized by National Aluminium Company Ltd(Nalco) at Biju Patnaik Sports Complex, Smelter &Power Complex, Nalco Nagar,Angul from 5th to 7th March-2015. NALCO's Smelter Plant &Captive Power Plant are situated at Angul which is 150 kms away from NALCO's Corporate Office, Bhubaneswar. Total eight Teams participated in this tournament. They are Oil & National Gas Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Life Insurance Company Ltd, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, Coal India Ltd, Oil India, Neyveli Lignite Company Ltd, and National Aluminium Company Ltd. The teams were divided into two groups i.e. Pool-A & Pool-B. ONGC, BSNL, NALCO and Coal India were put into Pool-A where LIC,Oil India, BHEL, NLC were put into Pool-B. The inaugural function was organized on 5th March-2015 and the Executive Director of S&P Sri S.K. Roy was Chief Guest and Sri P.K. Mohanty GM(HRD&Adm) was the Guest of Homour while Sri S. Tarai Asst.General Manager (OL&Sports) of Nalco, Corporate Office Co-ordinated the programme.

The final Match was held between Life Insurance Company Ltd and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. ONGC beat LIC by 3 sets and became Champion of the tournament and LIC became Runners Up. Sri S.K.Roy, Executive Director of S&P Complex handed over the Trophy to Winner and Runners Up in the presence of Nalco's International Cricketer and Coach of Odisha Ranji Cricket Team Sri Debasis Mohanty and Shiv Sundor Das, AGM(OL&Sports) Sri S.Tarai,AGM(H&A) Sri C.R.Sahu. Sri M.R.Das,DM(Fin) conducted the meeting while Sri C.R.Chaudhury, Asst. Manager (Adm&Sports) of S&P Complex, proposed vote of Thanks.
